JOB TITLE:Lottery Promotions Co-ordinator

LOCATION:LOROS Lottery Ltd, Barshaw Park, Leicester

HOURS OF WORK:37.5 hours per week - flexible to include some evenings/weekends as required

REPORTING TO:Lottery Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

To develop the Hospice Lottery seeking year on year growth of the membership. To maximise income generating opportunities for LOROS and to facilitate relationships with supporters that provide opportunities to increase income stream.

To assist with the development of the LOROS Lottery and other Lottery products with the aim to achieve budget as a minimum. To raise the overall profile of the LOROS Lottery and co-ordinate Lottery promotional activity and other Lottery fundraising campaigns as required.

KEY TASKS:

  1. To identify new and suitable opportunities for increasing lottery membership, to agreed targets by arranging and undertaking activities to achieve this aim.
  2. Lead a promotional team comprising both internal and an external agency.This includes In-Store, Tele-Sales and Door to Door. When necessary conduct canvassing activity in conjunction with the Lottery Promotional team to ensure the Lottery Department reaches canvassing and new membership targets.
  3. Responsible for LOROS Lottery Scratch Cards including; record keeping, maintaining effective relationships with participating outlets including LOROS shops and maintaining point of sale material. To drive the sale of scratch cards which includes promoting scratch cards as Wedding Favours and be responsible for the launch of each new scratch card game.
  4. Oversee the booking process for the Lottery promotional stand to be present at supermarkets, garden centres, LOROS led events etc. To work on the promotional stand alongside volunteers or Lottery Promoters and to organise staff rotas as necessary.
  5. To recruit and train new staff and volunteers, as required.
  6. Provide necessary promotional support for Lottery existing campaigns as instructed by the Lottery Manager such as: annual draws and gift subscription campaign. To also provide support for new Lottery fundraising initiatives.
  7. Raising the awareness of the LOROS Lottery via membership leaflet placement. This includes: contacting businesses etc to gain agreement for leaflets to be displayed on reception desks/in waiting rooms etc. Arranging for leaflets to be coded (utilising volunteers) and arranging the delivery of leaflets and leaflet dispensers.
  8. Conduct weekly meeting with internal promotions team.
  9. Utilise volunteer resources to support the promotion of the LOROS Lottery.
  10. Deputise in the absence of the Lottery Development Co-ordinator.

MANAGEMENT OF STAFF:

  1. Provide leadership, mentorship and direction to the Lottery staff reporting into this post to ensure the office procedures are conducted in an efficient and effective manner.
  2. Conduct effective Performance & Development Reviews which clarify objectives, assess performance comprehensively and fairly and support staff with regard to personal and professional development.
  3. Ensure that adequate administrative cover is maintained allowing for annual leave, absence and fluctuating workloads.
