2. Job Purpose:

  • To optimise the space, service, sales, costs, profit and standards of the Food Service offer through the management and development of Food Service Department Managers.

3. Key Tasks / Responsibilities:

  • To meet regularly & coordinate respective Food Service Dept. Managers and Food Service representatives to review all areas against agreed targets.
  • To arrange and assist with any training courses needed.
  • To present at Area, Regional and/or Group meetings.
  • To ensure Food Service Dept. Managers:
  • Make agreed changes to layout in agreement with all interested parties.
  • Control costs, charges and keep them within targets,and take appropriate action if required.
  • Operatein line with legal and internal and external audit requirements.
  • Ensure all planograms and promotions are adhered to.

4. Financial Responsibilities:

  • The control and monitoring of budgets within the agreed framework
  • Ensuring adherence to cash and stock control policies

  • Ensure compliance with “The Blakemore Way” and appropriate levels of the competency framework
  • Maintain employee and organisational confidentiality in line with the Data Protection Act

On occasions the post holder will be required to work away from designated work place which may involve staying away from home as and when required in accordance with the needs of the business. The post holder will be responsible for the appropriate use and maintenance of company vehicle.
