SUMMARY

The Director of Oil & Gas Acquisitions & Operations is responsible for originating new business and developing existing relationships in the Oil & Gas industry. This position will be responsible for acquiring, maximizing the profitability of these assets and lead the divestiture process.The successful candidate must have the ability to evaluate effectively the A & D processes and exceptional skills in managing operations. Exposure to both Exploration & Production and Oil & Gas Services sectors is highly preferred. Effective communication with internal and external parties across a wide range of disciplines will be critical in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the acquisition process for candidate Oil & Gas opportunities
  • Develop and execute a long term business plan for the assets, actively evaluating new business opportunities jointly with business development representatives.
  • Develop and execute an annual plan for individual assets, including revenue, costs, and capital expenditures.
  • Understand, manage, and communicate monthly asset profitability and details of revenue, costs, and capital expenditures.
  • Work together with outside partners, finance and internal departments to deliver against plan.
  • Lead the analysis of capital investment opportunities to enhance asset capabilities or lower costs.
  • Lead and manage the daily asset management activities.
  • Build, maintain and leverage a network of industry relationships to support overall business development.
  • Lead negotiation of service agreements and other supporting contracts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Geology or business related discipline required.
  • Fifteen or more years’ experience in the oil & gas industry.
  • Experience in profit & loss responsibility, deal acquisitions and divestitures
  • Experience working with vendors and service companies, working non-op positions and/or joint ventures and understands the energy commodity markets and the economic analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex financial models.
  • Must be results driven, innovative, with strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
  • Advance MS Excel skills is requires and proficient in other MS products.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
