Shift Hiring For: Both day and swing shift, 24 - 32 hours per week, could include weekends

Job Description: Utilizes a quality customer service orientation, receives payment from customers for parking services, and facilitates the flow of traffic through the airport exit gate by performing the following duties:

  • Assists customers in making payment to fully automated revenue control equipment.
  • Helps customers with parking services and facilitates the expedient flow of traffic through the exit lanes.
  • Counts “bank” of revenue (if required) at beginning of shift to ensure starting total is correct.
  • Collects cash and/or validations and maintains security of cash.
  • Makes change and issues receipts or tickets to customer for each transaction.
  • Computes or re-computes bill from ticket showing amount due per customer.
  • Operates cash register after time calculation (manually or by machine), calculates cost or transaction and displays cost of customer transaction on cash register.
  • Quotes prices for parking services for which money is received upon customer receipt.
  • Completes lost ticket forms when original tickets cannot be located.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Memorize and follow procedures concerning revenue control, cash handling, and customer service.
  • Work independently in a fast paced environment, handling cash accurately.
  • Provide instructions to customers in use of revenue control equipment; give directions and assist customers with any needs.
  • Be on your feet for at least 4 hours at a time and occasionally an entire shift in all weather conditions.
  • Maneuver between cars in an exit lane, up and down curbs as needed to assist customers.
  • Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the reporting supervisor.
  • Work a complete 8 ½ hour shifts with one 30 minute lunch break and two 15 minute breaks.
  • Communicate with other employees and reporting supervisor, over a hand held radio professionally, with clarity and conciseness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Age:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent and at least 6 months of cashier experience required.Must be at least (18) years of age.

Identification:

Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Cashier/CSR’s will occasionally need to drive company vehicles between parking lots.

Background Check/Driving/Drug Screen:

Applicants must be able to pass a background check, including criminal history and driving records, and pass a drug screen. Please note that our drug screen includes testing for marijuana.

Language Ability:

Applicants must be able to read and write in English. They must be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and positively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors in English.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and count change back to customers.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Be able to effectively respond to customer problems or complaints.

Work Environment:

The work environment is both inside and outside. Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions for long periods of time.

Physical Demands:

Applicants must be able to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time and lift a minimum of 20 lbs.

Tool Usage:

Ability to function with a computer, various software, a multi-line telephone, and hand-held radio.

Wage:

This position starts at $11.00 per hour. Please note this is a union position with Teamsters Local 305. The monthly dues are $27.50 and there is a one-time initiation fee to join the union.
