Fixed Term contract to cover maternity leave (6 months in the first instance)

Job Summary:To account manage and deliver successful partnerships with corporate supporters, specifically through donations, sponsorship, employee fundraising and events. A major part of this role is to research, identify and recruit high-value relationships with key corporate funders to support a number of Hospice major events and campaigns. The role will also involve cross-site working at our Little Hulton and Heald Green site.

Other key relationships:Departmental staff – fundraising, trading and communications colleagues; volunteers; finance staff, support services and clinical departments

Principal Responsibilities

  • Deliver the Corporate Fundraising annual income and expenditure budget contributing towards the overall fundraising target for St. Ann’s Hospice in line with the department’s business plan and fundraising strategy. Producing monthly financial reports and summaries will be required.
  • Maintain and develop the existing portfolio of corporate relationships across Greater Manchester by
  • Working closely with the other corporate fundraiser ensure that effective account management of existing corporate support to maximise income for St Ann’s Hospice through retention.
  • Identify and secure new corporate partnerships opportunities.
  • Through creativity and watching the marketplace identify and propose new corporate charitable activities.
  • Secure sponsorship for St Ann’s Hospice major fundraising events through the development of strong pitches, researching potential sponsors to target and negotiating contracts.
  • Act as an ambassador for St Ann’s, representing the Hospice at external events, including a wide variety of networking events and undertake public speaking

Design and deliver a series of Corporate Fundraising team events and manage existing corporate initiatives including the corporate challenge and quiz month.

Research existing, past and prospective corporate and higher net worth individual supporters in conjunction with the individual giving team utilising the Raiser’s Edge database and to determine the best, tailored fundraising approach for each.

  • Work closely with colleagues in fundraising, trading and communications to ensure all your activities achieve optimum success.
  • Promote all St Ann’s Hospice fundraising, trading and communication activities to relevant corporate partners, supporting the wider team.
  • Support the Department by making presentations to specific target groups to promote St Ann’s and attend cheque presentations
  • Be responsible for your own administration and efficiently organise all your own activities with support from the Office Administrator and volunteers wherever possible
  • Display strong analytical skills to evaluate all activity using Raiser’s Edge database
  • Any other duties reasonably assigned by the Fundraising Manager and Director of Fundraising & Communications
  • Adhere to Hospice policies and procedures and fundraising legal requirements

St Ann’s Hospice is committed to the effective development and training of staff. Regular Individual Performance Reviews (IPR) take place informally every 6 months and a formal appraisal at 12 months – these meetings highlight areas where training and development are needed. Additional support meetings take place with line managers every month with every three months focusing on a SMART Objective review.

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of finance/numeracy

  • Some unsocial hours will be required as part of the job and the ability to work flexible hours from time to time
