About Tom:Tom Becker is a former member of the Legendary Folk Group, The New Christy Minstrels, and has gone on to appear with numerous Grammy Winners and Music Legends including Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Willie Nelson, Gregg Allman and Jerry Jeff Walker.
And, it all beganwith a Sears Silvertone guitar….. and the music of John Denver.
Tom is married to Michelle Becker, 7-time TRMA Female Vocalist of the Year.
Her performance in "Back Home Again" is just a small part of her diverse musical career. She's appeared with Brenda Lee, The Coasters The Drifters, The Platters, Lee Greenwood and Loretta Lynn.
Tom & Michelle met as songwriters in Nashville, and have been making beautiful music together ever since!
Together, they have performed in 40 states, Europe and the Caribbean, with a concert that draws upon 6 decades of popular music.
They are 5-time TRMA Duo of the Year.
When not on the road, they enjoy the simple, laid-back lifestyle in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.
In recent years, Tom began to feel that John Denver's music and message were more important than ever.
"In this time of environmental concerns, and Americans' efforts to simplify their lives, it seems that John Denver's music and message are even more relevant today, yet you rarely hear his music on the radio anymore."
So, he and his wife, Michelle, assembled a stellarband and created a concert that will inspire both long-time Denver fans, and those who may be less familiar with his music.
Timeless, universal themes of home, family, love and nature create the framework. Personal anecdotes and observations from his career in folk music create a warm, humorous and uplifting experience.
Like the gentleness of the wind through the Aspen trees and the majesty of the Rocky Mountains -- getting back to the basics never felt so good.
