Job Description

Job Title: Community Fundraiser (until 31st March 2018)

Responsible to: Chief Executive

Hours: 2-3 days weekly – as required by the Service

Salary : SP23-30 £19,995 - £25,058 per annum pro-rata

Pension : 6% of basic salary/Workplace Pension applies

(plus 2 x salary insurance benefit)

Travel Expenses : Currently 45p per mile

Job Summary :

The post holder will maintain and develop links with supporters involved in Community fundraising initiatives. This will involve engaging with current supporters and developing links with potential new supporters and partners, as individuals or corporate bodies.

The post holder will oversee the RAMH social media profile and work alongside the information officers to ensure RAMH PR/Marketing is up to date.

Responsibilities and Activities :

1.  Maintain processes which will position RAMH as a Charity of worth to potential funders and contributors.

2.  Confident in developing relationships with the Business community and expand income from this and associated sources.

3.  Co-ordinate all activities and events related to Fundraising

4.  Provide reports on all activities and outcomes to relevant donors on a monthly basis and thank them appropriately and timeously.

5.  Keep accurate records and assist in the management of a fundraising database in relation to the Data Protection Act (GDPR) with the Administration Manager so she is aware of developments.

6.  Provide regular briefings and reports to the Chief Executive and Senior Management team on the status of applications, workload and scheduled activities.

7.  Develop and sustain excellent working relationships with all colleagues, service users’, staff and all key partners, both internally and externally.

8.  Deliver fundraising activities assigned by the Chief Executive

9.  Maintain a public profile of RAMH activities and events via Social Media and the Press.

10.  To contribute to their own continuous professional development and to participate in any relevant training organised by RAMH.

11.  To operate within Charity Law and Data Protection legislation and adhere to the Fundraising Standards Board Codes of Practice.

12.  To undertake any other fundraising activities agreed with the Chief Executive.

13.  To adhere to the policies and procedures of RAMH and SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) Codes of Practice.

14.  To ensure health and safety requirements are met, within the area of responsibility.

Scottish Social Services Council Registration:

·  All staff must be aware of timescales and requirements of registration with SSSC – Scottish Social Services Council.

·  Staff who are registered must take personal responsibility of making themselves aware of the requirements of registration and adhere to these requirements.

·  It is NOT the responsibility of RAMH to register staff.

·  Staff who are required to register with SSSC and don’t complete registration within the timescales set out, will NOT be able to be employed in their current role, until registration is completed. This means that there may be no employment opportunities for staff if they are not registered.

·  Failure to register within timescales will result in disciplinary action.

This job description is a general outline of the post and the post holder will be expected to undertake other duties as consistent with the post or as determined by the Chief Executive. The post holder will also be expected to participate in the on-going development of the post

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential Desirable

HNC/SVQ Level III or equivalent relevant to the post title. / ü
Professional qualification (Fundraising, Marketing, Public Relations, Information Technology, Administration) / ü

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in Fundraising/PR Marketing / ü
Preparation and presentation of highly accessible reports / ü
Knowledge of Mental Health / ü
