JOB TITLE:BEE Green Champion

REPORTS TO:BEE Project Delivery Manager

RESPONSIBLE FOR:None

CONTRACT:Occasional Worker Agreement toSeptember 2018

RATE:£12 per hour

LOCATION:Suffolk and Norfolk

HOURS:1 to 2 days per month (Ad Hoc)

Groundwork Suffolkis part of the national Groundwork organisation – a leading environmental regeneration charity working in areas of social deprivation and environmental degradation across the country. Working in partnership with local communities and with the private and public sectors, Groundwork aims to enhance the quality of life for those living within the region by improving and safeguarding the environment, developing skills and community spirit, and helping to unlock economic potential.

Working with the Green Blue (South Essex) Project Manager and the

Green Champions will work in a small team, flyering and door-knocking on businesses to provide them with details of our free independent and impartial Business Energy Efficiency Anglia programme. The aim is to encourage businesses to join the Business Energy Efficiency Anglia programme.The environment will vary but will include working in public areas such as high streets and industrial estates.

1 Obtain and Record Accurate Information

Collect and record information neatly and accurately from the number of businesses interested. Report this information to the BEE Project Delivery Manager.

2 Provide Information

To deliver the agreed messages in line with the project’s aims and approach through being customer-focused, positive and courteous

3 Personal Development and Training

Be part of a team taking personal responsibility to be a positive member and well presented

Undertake training and development deemed necessary for the post

Have thorough understanding of key messages associated with each campaign

4Health and Safety

Work in conjunction with the team to help ensure that the welfare of staff and public is fully considered in the implementation of the project

Ensure that health and safety is observed in the course of employment

5 Additional information

Able to work some evenings and weekends

Meet the travel requirements of the project including travel to agreed meeting points

To actively promote a positive image of the project and represent it as required

Communicate regularly with BEE Project Delivery Manager

Ensure that all time sheets and other necessary documents are completed accurately and on time

Ensure the effective implementation of, and adherence to, Groundwork’s Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety policies and procedures

Undertake any other related responsibilities consistent with the nature and scope of the post

Ensure that all equipment and clothing is returned at the end of the project

Ensure that the you are well stocked with communications materials, as required, each day

A valid driving licence and access to vehicle is desirable
