Job Subtitle: Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist (DVOP)

Provide enhanced and in depth (intensive) employment services, using the case management model, to specific veterans and spouses with certain barriers to employment
Conduct comprehensive/specialized assessments to understand specific veterans/spouses’ interests, preferences, support needs, skill sets, and abilities to achieve their employment goals
Coordinate with specific veterans/spouses to develop individually tailored employment plans
Conduct job searches, job referrals and placement activities for specific veterans/spouses
Conduct individualized job development and job search activities based on specific veterans/spouses’ skill sets
Refer specific veterans/spouses to other agencies for supportive services
Annotate intensive services provided to specific veterans/spouses in automated data system and managers’ report
Annotate case notes in automated data system
Provide follow up support to specific veterans/spouses to ensure jobs are maintained and individuals progress in employment
Conduct relationship building, outreach and recruitment activities with other service providers in the local area to identify qualified veterans with significant barriers to employment
Annotate outreach and recruitment activities in automated data system, managers’ report and worksheet
Maintain confidentiality at all times and to ensure respect for, proper observance of and adherence to Department of Employment Security's confidentiality policy
Participate in mandatory training and meetings
