The role:

Generic role of post:

The primary purpose of the role will be to assist and assess students in a range of workplace locations whilst enabling them to become reflective managers.

Specific Duties

·  Support learners with their teaching, learning and assessment by providing a foundation to learn, which will enable them to become self-directed learners through assessing.

·  Support the course manager in initial advice and guidance, interview, induction through to certification. Set smart targets with learners to ensure they meet their career aspirations.

·  Carry out individual assessments on learner work and provide feedback and guidance, as necessary

·  Comply with all relevant college processes and procedures

·  Participate in the annual Course Review, Curriculum Planning and Quality Improvement Planning activities

·  Advise the Course Manager of any issues, problems or concerns in a timely manner

·  Work with other members of the team to ensure that a quality service is delivered to learners whilst working with employers to build recruitment.

·  Must attend all mandatory training and standardisation meetings

·  Play an active role in spreading good practice within the area

·  Promote the diploma during work based visits to employers and use off site travel to build the business in this curriculum area.

·  Ensure that understanding and experience of the industry is up to date and relevant

·  Carry out other duties, as agreed, relevant to the role.

Any special conditions attaching to the post:

·  The post holder must hold a full clean driving licence and have access to a car as the post requires travel to individuals’ workplaces throughout the area
