The role:

A Lecturer is responsible for managing the student learning experience from interview and induction through to delivery and achievement. This role will enable learners in their ability to reach their academic and vocational potential.

Any special conditions attaching to the post:

  • Lectures will be observed regularly throughout the year as part of subject sector area reviews. The minimum standard expected as part of these reviews will be in line with national standards.
  • Lecturers on a full time contract will be expected to deliver 850 contact hours and part time staff will be pro rata’d accordingly.
  • All lecturing staff will be on an academic contract of employment
  • Lecturers will be required to undertake appropriate CPD training and corporate training to enhance good practice.
