JOB DESCRIPTION: CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER

REPORTS TO: CORPORATE & COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER

ACCOUNTABLE TO: HEAD OF FUNDRAISING

BASED AT: ST ELIZABETH HOSPICE

JOB SUMMARY

To work as a member of the income generation team to develop and grow corporate fundraising income from a range of existing and new corporate accounts.

RESPONSIB ILITIES

1.  Research, identify, prioritise and approach companies that may have an interest in working with the hospice for mutual benefit.

2.  Plan, design and present compelling partnership proposals based on research outcomes.

3.  Identify opportunities for sponsorship which covers the full range of activities undertaken by the Hospice.

4.  Personally manage relationships with an agreed portfolio of companies.

5.  Ensure charity partnerships meet their income targets, providing support, motivation and inspiration.

6.  Work with the PR & Marketing Manager to develop and deliver PR and marketing plans for each corporate account.

7.  Produce and deliver high quality creative presentations and proposals tailored to each corporate account.

8.  To work with teams across the organisation to identify opportunities to develop existing and new corporate partnerships.

9.  To work collaboratively with colleagues within the income generation & marketing team to ensure that any potential leads for other aspects of income generation are shared and that a co-ordinated approach and awareness is raised.

10.  To attend occasional fundraising events and activities outside of normal working hours including weekends and Bank Holidays as required.

11.  To optimise use of the fundraising database and assist in the production of proposals, reports, plans and evaluations.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIB ILITIES

1.  To deputise for the Community & Corporate Partnerships Manager team as required.

2.  To provide leadership for corporate fundraising staff and volunteers.

3.  To provide financial information regarding events/projects and activities as required, including monitoring progress against plans using agreed KPI’s.

4.  To work with the Community & Corporate Partnerships Manager to develop the Corporate Fundraising development strategy.

3. To co-ordinate with any corporate income generation volunteers to ensure efficient use of resources and to enable further growth in activity and income to achieve departmental targets.

4. To ensure that existing/new opportunities are researched, planned and implemented in a timely and cost effective manner.

PERSONNEL RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  To recognise indications of staff stress and to facilitate staff support.

2.  To participate in the induction of all new staff as required.

3.  To recognise the value of volunteer contribution and play an active part in their support and development where appropriate.

EDUCATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  To participate in the Hospice education programme.

2.  To give feedback from attended education programmes/study days.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

1.  To devise, with your line manager, a personal development plan in line with the Hospice objectives and personal needs.

2.  To maintain and increase personal professional skills.

ORGANISATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.  To work within the policies of the Hospice and act within Care Standards at all times

2.  To ensure effective use of resources.

3.  To respect at all times the confidentiality of information covering patients, staff and volunteers.

4.  To play an active part in the development and maintenance of good relationships with all who have business with the Hospice.

5.  To promote the Hospice philosophy of care towards patients, relatives and visitors.

Because of the special nature of the Hospice and its work the postholder may on occasion be asked to undertake other duties to help maintain our high standard of care.
