Purpose:

Producethebestpossibleatmosphereforworshipthroughsoundandvisual reinforcement. Thisincludes,butisnotlimitedtocreatingthebestmusicmixpossible,creatinganaudiomixthatmeetsthemoodthepastorIworshipleaderwantstoconvey, andsupportingtheaudioneedsofthepeopleinvolvedwiththechurchservice,andprovidingaqualityofvisualeffectsandpresentations. Ultimately,glorifyGodthrough providingexcellentaudioservices.

Responsibilities:

  • ParticipateinthecreativeplanningoftheSundayandspecialservices.
  • Maintainastrongprayerbasefortheministry.
  • CommunicatefaithfullywiththeLeadPastorandMusicDirectors.Participateinthelifeandministryofthechurch.

Qualifications:

  • AuthenticrelationshipwithJesusChristasSaviorandLord.
  • AheartforworshipingGod.
  • Beingoodstandingswiththechurchandattendregularly.
  • Abletoworkwithacooperativespiritinateamsetting.
  • Loveandrespectforpeople.
  • Senseof humorandpositiveattitude.
  • Takedirectionsandcorrectionswell. Listenandfollowinstructions.
  • Haveexperiencemixingaudiosuccessfullyintheliveenvironmentorwillingtoattendtrainingandworkalongsideamentor.
  • AbilitytothinkquicklyandreactItrouble-shootproperlyinhighstresssituationsoronshortnotice.
  • Dependable,responsible,self-motivated,teachableandcreative.

Tasks:

Pre-Service:

  • Setupstageformusiciansorwithmusicians. Thiswouldincludemicrophonestands, microphones,musicstands,etc.
  • Performproperlinecheck.
  • Makesuremicrophoneshavenewbatteries.
  • Performpropersoundcheck;includesgainsettings,monitormixes,propervolumesettings,andtheeq/missingprocess.
  • Checkwithworshipleader,pastor,orcoordinatorforscheduleandspecialchanges.
  • Checkwithspeakerstoensuretheirvolumeorotherrequestarehandledinacooperative,professionalandhelpfulmanner
  • OperateEasyWorshipprogramtodisplaysoundlyrics,videosandothermediaduringservice.
  • Obtainvideoclipsandplaythembeforetheservicetocheckvolumeandclarity. Havethemreadytogosothatthereisnodelayintheservice. Makesureofyourcue timesforeachvideooraudioclip.

Beatyourpost10minutesearlybeforeeachservice.

  • Responsibleforadjustingsoundlevelsduringtheserviceasneeded. Thisincludes musicians,praiseworshipteam,speakers,peoplemakingtheannouncements, etc.

  • Makesurethatmicrophonesareturnedoffontheplatform.
  • Noteanybroken/faultyequipmentandtakeitoutofserviceif possible.
  • Clearstageofequipmentasneeded.
  • Locktheupstairsaftereachservicetopreventstealingandalteringyousettings.
