Job Title: ICT Training Assistant (Fixed Term Post for 18 months)

Reporting To: Head of ICT

Located At: Head Office, Northern Whig House, 3 Waring St, Belfast

Hours of Work: 37 per week, Monday – Friday (flexi hours)

Salary: £18,654.72 - £21,560.27 pro rata per annum

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

At Clanmil our tenants are at the heart of what we do and we want to provide more great homes for families that need them. As ICT Training Assistant you will provide communications technology training to assist the Associations business systems.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITES:

A / MAXIMIMISE ICT SYSTEMS & TECHNOLOGY
1 / Deliver high quality training to our staff and assist in the designing of training programmes to maximise the benefits of our ICT systems.
2 / Deliver training in a variety of settings using various media, for example, classroom training, workshops, one to one tuition, e-learning etc.
3 / Assist ICT staff to facilitate the installation and implementation of upgraded ICT systems throughout all functions within the Association.
4 / Provide ICT training and support as part of inductions for new employees to include orientation of the Associations intranet.
5 / Assist in ICT skills audits to identify any gaps between staff ICT knowledge and the requirement of their role.
6 / Assist in evaluating training in order to ensure effective delivery, that the course objectives are met and relevant competencies have been attained.
7 / Contribute to the specification and evaluation of software applications and hardware in relation to usability and impact on the organisations ICT training needs.
8 / Assist and implement systems related projects.
9 / Design and create documentation and guidance notes to support ICT business processes.
10 / Create trainer notes, training plans, paper and digital training resources. (including audio visual resources)
11 / Assist in the creation of user acceptance testing scripts.
12 / Assist in the delivery of an effective IT support service which is responsive and supportive.
13 / Develop and source appropriate training reference materials which are valid and up to date with current software versions and applications.
B / TEAM WORK
1 / Work with colleagues to ensure the department is covered at all times and discuss and agree any holiday or leave requirements as per company policies and procedures.
2 / Actively contribute to staff meetings/supervision meetings etc to ensure a neutral and harmonious working environment is maintained at all times.
3 / Take an active role in team meetings and work with your colleagues, as part of a team, to ensure all Clanmil tenants and service users, internal and external, receive a warm, friendly, professional customer service experience.
4 / Take on additional specific areas of work as required by the Head of ICT and any other senior manager as requested.
C / ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
1 / Take minutes of meetings, type up accurately and on time and organise hospitality at the meetings.
2 / Prepare reports and presentations as requested and assist with any administration requirements for the Senior Management Team and Board.
3 / Ensure filing systems and technical library are updated, reviewed and maintained on the Intranet.

At least 2 A Level passes at Grade C or above AND 18 months experience of providing ICT training & systems support in a business environment. Candidates who do not have the required qualifications but who have 3 years experience of providing ICT training & systems support in a business environment should also apply.
A Training or Project Management Qualification.
A Third Level computing related qualification
Experience of designing and delivering high quality training specifically within ICT projects demonstrated by way of examples on your application form.
Experience in creating business process documentation specifically within ICT projects demonstrated by way of examples on your application form
Experience in engaging with and progressing a customer focussed, systems improvement culture demonstrated by way of examples on your application form.
A sound knowledge of IT systems and software packages demonstrated by way of examples on your application form.
