Description:
Responsible for all aspects of the Media Arts training and instruction of students, staff, and volunteers at CCE. This includes structure, design, schedule, curriculum development, outcomes, and reporting within the middle and high school Media Arts Programs. Technical responsibilities include assisting with the management, maintenance and staff development concerning IT and relevant services throughout the organization. Must be available to work second shift (11-8) and Saturdays. Technology Instructor reports directly to the Manager of Technology and Theater.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·  Develop a middle school and high school Media Arts Program with a comprehensive curriculum that establishes CCE as the most credible technology program within the community.
·  Coordinate/teach programming related to media and technology.
·  Develop relationships with companies or organizations who can benefit from the Media Arts programs at CCE
·  Assist in establishing, monitoring, and reporting a set of metrics that documents student impact within the media arts programs.
·  Work with organizations who may utilize the Conrad Hilton Theater to give students experience with live performances.
·  Conduct classes in accordance with established syllabi, lesson plans and In House Programming Policy & Procedures.
·  Provide objective, summative and formative feedback regarding student performance.
·  Maintain records of student attendance, grades, and/or assignments/projects
·  Advise students regarding academic matters to improve successful course completion.
·  Maintain a healthy, secure, and safe classroom environment.
·  Design and delivers class instruction through the development of instructional plans to meet course competencies, the development of activities which support lesson objectives
·  Promote student success through flexibility in teaching style and exhibit a passion for teaching students and engaging them in the learning process.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
·  Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
·  At least 3 years of experience in a similar position with a proven track record in the design and execution of an effective technology program preferred
·  Must demonstrate good organizational skills and project management experience preferred.
·  Must have expert knowledge and understanding of MacOS, Navigation, file system structure, IOS, Adobe Suite, Protools, Xcode and Nuke.
·  Must have a comprehensive knowledge of digital film/video production in a Mac-based, Final Cut Pro environment.
·  Ability to explain complex tasks so they are easily understood.
·  Experience with developing and maintaining productive working relationships with board members, donors, media professionals and staff.
·  Must think critically to circumvent obstacles which may be the result of hardware component failure, software issues, potential data loss and network related issues.
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·  Ability to work as a leader and as part of a team.
·  Must successfully pass Level II background check and cleared through the Department of Homeland Security
·  One or more certifications in Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) 10.7-10.12, Apple Certified Macintosh Technician 2016 or later, Apple Certified iOS Technician 2016 or later, Apple Certified Pro – Final Cut Pro X

·  Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FLMA and other federal, state and local standards
·  Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
·  Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone
