We are looking for an experienced administrator to support our busy and expanding volunteering function, directly supporting the Changes Volunteer Manager. We are a pioneering, user-led Community Interest Company (CIC) and a registered charity, at the heart of the recovery community and at the forefront of recovery culture in Birmingham. We have recently established Recovery Central in Digbeth, Birmingham as a one-stop-shop for people in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.
We are a lively team of 14 paid employees that will grow to around 30 over the next year. Much of our work is peer led, with our volunteers playing a vital role in providing living proof that recovery is not only possible, but sustainable and enjoyable. Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
This is a new position, reflecting our sustained success and growth in the field of supporting people to achieve and maintain abstinent recovery from substance misuse. The Volunteer Support Administrator will support the Volunteer Manager with all administrative tasks associated with recruiting, deploying and supporting our dedicated team of volunteers.
Key activities and responsibilities will include:
·  Diary management for Volunteer Manager
·  Keeping up to date records of all volunteer activities, using our PSIAMS database
·  Processing volunteer applications
·  Processing and monitoring DBS applications
·  Administering all volunteer expenses
·  Supporting the production of regular management reports covering volunteering activities
·  Ensuring volunteer development and training courses are smoothly administered, in conjunction with the People Development Coordinator
·  Supporting the production of high quality training and development resources
·  Ensuring the volunteering section of our soon to be launched new website is kept up to date
Qualifications and Education Requirements
·  NVQ level 3 Business Administration or equivalent preferred
Preferred Skills
·  Great customer service skills both face to face and over the phone
·  A self-starter who is organized and proficient in their own time management skills
·  Highly proficient in Windows 365 platform and Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint (if you’re a Prezzie practitioner all the better!)
·  Diary management
·  Servicing meetings – producing agendas, minutes etc
·  Basic bookkeeping/financial records management
