JOANIE’S MISSIONS JOURNEY – UPDATE

Isaiah 58:11

The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land.

Jambo everyone!

I must first share how truly blessed I am to be on this journey to missions with all of you. Your prayers and words of encouragement that I received after my first newsletter touched my heart beyond words, asante sana (thank you!) To keep you updated, I will be leaving for my vision trip to Kenya on January 15th and returning home on February 26th. I will be staying with Esther Hall who is our missionary with Inspire 180 living in Kenya. Esther’s education in leadership training will serve as an invaluable blessing to me. We will be meeting with different ministries and seeing where God will have me serve. One ministry that God has already connected me to through Inspire 180 is St. Martha’s Ministry. Established by Caleb & Eunice Otieno, it is their goal to reach out to vulnerable widows and orphans living with HIV/AIDS in Kibera, the largest slum area in Kenya. I served in Kibera in 2009 and have felt God’s calling for me to return. My heart’s desire is to serve alongside widows & orphans.

And so dear friends, God is guiding me back to Africa, and I know He will satisfy my needs. (Isaiah 58:11) By God’s hand I was led to Kenya with team Inspire 180 in 2009, and He has prepared the plans He has for me today. (Jeremiah 29:11) A true vision of the Inspire 180 ministry is to train and lead others in reaching out to the under resourced people of the world. I would like to share my heart with you on what your support spiritually & financially will mean to me as I go out to serve the Lord in Kenya. This ministry is the Lord’s, and He has shown us in scripture that he calls on His people to provide for those in ministry, and that leaders regularly called upon God’s people to make that provision. This new life God has given to me as a widow is a beautiful gift, and I so want for all of us to unwrap this gift together. I do know that I could not be doing this without you. And so my friends, I am humbly calling upon you to pray with me and consult God regarding your part in supporting my mission’s journey with the Lord.

If you feel led to support me in God’s kingdom work, you can go to our website, Go to donate now, then make a donation, and you will see my name as an option, or you can send a check payable to Inspire 180 to: 518 S. Route 31- Suite 193, McHenry, IL 60050.(please attach a note with my name on it, not on your check) Praying for God’s leading for us in this partnership, “to spend ourselves in behalf of the hungry, and satisfy the needs of the oppressed.” Isaiah 58:10 May God bless you as you have been such a blessing to me.

Blessings, Joanie Woodall
