4.  Deliverable Format

This deliverable will be in the form of software.

5.  Target User Audience

The target user audience is the wider social science community.

6.  Aims & Objectives

This deliverable aims to develop and deploy robust software to annotate datasets and other resources.

7.  Datasets & Resources

The software will support annotation of the following sets of data and resources:

·

8.  Functionality

The annotation tool will allow users to create RDF for the defined datasets and resources with the WYSIWYM (What You See Is What You Meant) user interface, which allows annotation in a straightforward, non-technical manner using natural language. WYSIWYM was originally developed by the PolicyGrid NCeSS node.

9.  Implementation Technologies

10.  Architecture/Design

11.  User & Other Interfaces

The tool will be delivered as a module that can be plugged into other appropriate applications that require the input of social science metadata. This interface will be via an API (developer documentation to be delivered in D3.1.7).
