Room (800)991-5907 ext. 2
Course Overview
The purpose of this two-semester course is to introduce students to the Mystery of Jesus Christ, the Living Word of God, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. In this course students will understand that Jesus Christ is the ultimate revelation to us from God. In learning about who he is, the students will also learn who he calls them to be. Students will learn that for all eternity, God has planned for us to share eternal happiness with him which is accomplished through the Redemption Christ won for us. They will also be introduced to what it means to be a disciple of Christ and that life as a disciple entails.
This course will be conducted in conjunction with the ESLRs of Mary Star of the Sea High School: nourishing the soul by providing an environment permeated with the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Roman Catholic Church; building strong character by providing an educational environment imbued with respect and responsibility; challenging the mind of students to pursue knowledge, truth and wisdom; and building a culture of life and love in the present and future world based on the positive achievements of the past by working individually and with others for the common good.
This course meets the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops High School Framework.
