Welcome to another year of Pony Club! I hope you all enjoyed your involvement in 2011 and wish you all success and lots of enjoyment in 2012!
A reminder to start - MEMBERSHIP IS DUE NOW and must be received by 31st January otherwise you will have to re-join rather than re-new AND you will stop receiving newsletters and information! A renewal form is attached.

Over the winter we had a number of events mostly over the fantastic cross country course that Alyson Malzard and her team built. The weather was kind to us this year and we seemed to get huge amounts of use out of the course. It is now all cleared (thanks to a number of helpers who dutifully turned up!) and stored ready for 2012!

Indoor Instructional which continue to prove popular, entries to Debbie Cawley
Triathlon – Saturday 28th January. Entries have closed for this one but do come in future to the shooting practices on a Tuesday evening so you can take part in the next competition! Enquires to Jane Monins on 07797749451.
Parents Evening on Wednesday 1st February – at The Priory, Devils Hole 8pm. A chance to meet the Committee, have a drink and listen to a review of 2011!
Dismounted Rally – Sunday 5th February 2pm meet at The Kennels, St Mary, names to Debbie Cawley at
SWIMARATHON on Saturday 10th March. Names to Collette Bisson please at We are hoping to have four lanes this year so we need PLENTY of swimmers (you can even ask your Mum or Dad if they would like to swim!) and to replenish all those used calories Collette has arranged for us to go out for supper at Jersey Bowl afterwards!
Tests – For those wanting to take their first or next Pony Club Test please contact Sheryl Runacres at to put your name down. We do need to know numbers so we can get enough examiners to save you hanging around and getting cold! For the R&RS Test you will be invited to attend as we do have to take members in age order.
D Test – Wednesday 4th April at 11am at the Pony Club Field
D+ Test – Tuesday 10th April at 11am at the Pony Club Field
Riding & Road Safety – Friday 20th, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th April
Pony Racing on Sunday 20th May – now I know this seems like a long way away but the reason for mentioning it now is for those of you who are interested in competing your ponies MUST be correctly vaccinated. Please can you check with your vet in case you need to start a course of injections. We will be holding a meeting soon to discuss training and any questions you might have.
Finally please see a notice about the Pony Club 2nd Hand Uniform Shop. This is run by Debbie Cawley but we need stock!!
