MISSION STATEMENT

THE MISSION OF LAUREL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IS TO ENSURE FOR EACH CHILD A SUPERIOR EDUCATION AND AN APPRECIATION FOR CONTINUOUS LEARNING THROUGH VISIONARY LEADERSHIP, INNOVATIVE TEACHING, AND DEDICATERD TEAMWORK. OUR “WORKING” MISSION STATEMENT IS: “ WE EXPECT NOTHING LESS THAN THE BEST.”

CONSOLIDATED PLANNING TEAMS WERE MADE UP FROM FACULTY MEMBERS REPRESENTING EACH GRADE LEVEL\CONTENT AREA, COMMUNITY MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES FROM THE SURROUNDING AREA, PARENTS, ADMINISTRATIVE AND SUPPORT STAFF.

SCHOOL AND DISTRICT TEAMS WORKED TOGETHER TO DETERMINE PRIORITY NEEDS AND APPROPRIATE STRATEGIES TO ADDRESS THOSE IDENTIFIED NEEDS

WHAT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PLAN IS EXPECTED TO ACHIEVE

IMPROVED STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AND AN EQUITABLE OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL STUDENTS TO MEET WITH SUCCESS. WE WANT TO ELIMINATE ANY BARRIER THAT WOULD HINDER STUDENT LEARNING.

HOW PUBLIC COMMENT WAS SECURED AND WHAT RESPONSE WAS MADE:

EFFECTIVE SCHOOLS SURVEY, SCHOOL CULTURE AUDIT, AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS AS A PART OF NEEDS ASSESSMENT AND PLANNING TEAMS WERE UTILIZED TO MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.

HOW CONSOLIDATED PLANNING WILL BE ENSURED IN THE FUTURE:

REVIEW AND EVALUATION OF THE COMPONENTS WILL BE AN ON-GOING PROCESS. PLAN WI9LL BE AMENDED AS THE NEED ARISES, TO ENSURE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON STUDENT ACHIEVEMNT, AND TO ENSURE EQUITY. THIS PLAN WILL BE REVIEWED QUARTERLY BY ALL STAKEHOLDERS.
