Inspiration at TarponPointMarina

Internationally acclaimed contemporary realist, Jeanine C. Jackson, has turned her brushes on subjects in and around Southwest Florida’s burgeoning development of TarponPointMarina. Egrets, ibis, spoonbills, fountains, fishermen, families, sailboats, kayaks, mangroves, flora and fauna are among the many subjects that keep this local resident busy. From her surroundings and discerning clientele, Jacksoncreates custom portraits, landscapes and murals.“I feel privileged to live and paint in this paradise!”

Garnering images from Sanibel to Naples, Jeanine Jackson created thisoilmural -Tarpon Ibis - as the result of sketches and photo studies taken in Cape Coraldirectly from the TarponGardens waterfront home she shares with husband and retired reinsurance executive, Roland W. Jackson. The massivepainting on canvas mounted to hardboard measures 60” x 67.” It was recently selected by Grosse Pointe Development Company, the builders of the multiple communities at TarponPointMarina, to enhance a niche in a new model condominium at Tarpon Landings. Rita Keltner, Assistant to Grosse Pointe CEO Bob Hensley, is pleased to include quality work by anartist-in-residence and observes, “It finishes the space so wonderfully…”

As more residents arrive in Lee and CollierCounties, the demand for a Jackson original increases.Thatprocess usually begins with a design consultation.“Once I see the space where the painting will hang, I can make suggestions to homeownersor interior designers. Their feedback fuels my inspiration.” The results

are works of timeless art that personalize a home with portraits of loved ones, local landscapes, or combinations of both.

Last winter, Ms. Jackson joined the faculty of the Cape Coral Art League to teach techniques of classical portraiture and is a member of the Lee County Alliance of the Arts in FortMeyers. She maintains a summer studio in Norwalk, CT, is Founder & President Emerita of the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists and is the CT Ambassador for the Portrait Society of America. Her award-winning paintings hang in private collections and in galleries on three continents including the cradle of the renaissanceFlorence,Italy where Jackson studied and lived for eight years.
