At the Kerry Road Championships on Sun. Ed Murphy was 3rd Senior, Simon Mangan 1st Novice while Seamus Murphy, John Barrett, Michael Dineen, Robert Purcell Jnr., and Mike Browne all won their categories. Sean Cahillane & Donal Reen were placed. Gneeveguilla won the two senior team events and were 3rd in both with our B team. Anne Marie Costelloe won the ladies race, Catherine Kiely was 2nd, Maggie O’Leary, Caroline Murphy and Joan O’Sullivan won their categories.
To top a great weekend for the Club David O’Keeffe was 3rd in his All-Ireland Indoors in Magherafelt, Co. Derry on Sat. His event 1500m.

Basketball U13 Girls. On Sat. last our U13 girls basketball team travelled to Castleisland along with their coaches Mike Mc Gillicuddy and Norma Guerin to take part in this competition. The Rathmore/Gneeveguilla team were drawn against Rock St./Caherslee and Duagh/Lyre in their pool. All girls put up a tremendous performance and were worthy winners of these matches. They travelled on to Tralee in the afternoon where they met Boherbee/Cloghers/Manor in the semi-final. Again they won this match and progressed to the final where they met Glenbeigh/Glencar, unfortunately Glenbeigh/Glencar proved a little too strong on the day.Rathmore/Gneeveguilla thus received Silver Medals for their performance. Congratulations and well done to all whoparticipated. Team memberes were as follows: Rosin O’Leary, Rachel Brosnan, Laoise Coughlan, Katie Mahony, Norma Mahony, Shauna Guerin, Maria O’Callaghan, Rachel Mc Auliffe, Jenny Sheehan and Maura Amy O’Connor. We thank all the players and coaches and thanks to all those who travelled with and supported the team on the day. Basketball Boys U13:On Sun. 20th U13 boys travelled to Castleisland for the U13 boys competition. In their pool they met Castleisland, Killarney South and Currow/Currans. From here they progressed to the semi-final where they met and successfully beat Boherbee/Cloghers/Manor. In the final they again met Castleisland, even though they displayed great skill Castleisland emerged the winners. Rathmore/Gneeveguilla boys emerged with Silver Medals for theirtremendous efforts. Again we congratulate the team and their managers Mike McGillycuddy and Kathleen Brosnan on a fantastic achievement. Team members were as follows: Jamie Brosnan, Shane O’Sullivan, Jack Collins, John O’Leary, Brian Brosnan, Jack Cremin, Cathal Collins, Derry Mc Carthy, Florence Donnelly and Cathal Mc Carthy. Again we thank all players and coaches and thanks to the parents and supporters who travelled with and supportedthe team on the day.
