JAMES L. MORICE

BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Morice is the founder and Managing Member of Morice Consulting, LLC. The Firm is engaged in a variety of consulting activities, including executive search, executive coaching, organizational alignment, targeted compensation, merger and acquisition due diligence, and strategy review studies. The Firm traces its beginning to 1982

In 2005, with William K. Sur of Conboy, Sur & Associates, Inc., Mr. Morice co-founded Conboy Sur Morice Associates; a strategic alliance designed to create a broader business base.

Jim’s consulting career began in 1969 when he joined McKinsey and Company. He entered executive search in 1972 with Billington, Fox and Ellis, where he was elected a Partner. In 1976 he joined Spencer Stuart and Associates and was elected Vice President and Principal, and in 1980 he became a Partner at William H. Clark Associates.

His corporate experience includes an executive management role with a successful startup company, NationsBuilders Insurance Services, Inc. Prior corporate roles include general administration, cost management and human resources positions with Equitable Life. His early career positions were with Hofstra University, Chemical Bank, and The New York Times.

Jim’s Board of Directors memberships, spanning more than 30 years, include American Conveyor Corporation; HSBC N.A. and its USA banking entities; NationBuilders Insurance Services, Inc.; Republic New York Corporation and its National Bank; Microwave Power Devices, Inc.; and The Williamsburg Savings Bank.

Additionally, he serves as an advisor to the senior management and Boards of Directors of several entrepreneurial and mid-size companies. He is affiliated, also, with Egret Capital Partners, a privately funded equity investment firm.

Jim has graduate level study in Business Administration at New York University’s Graduate School of Business. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University - School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance. He also holds an Associate’s degree in Engineering from Keystone College.

The sum of these experiences provides sound basis and insight to help clients resolve a variety of business problems. He serves clients at the executive management level in several industries, with focus on the insurance industry; property/casualty, life/health and reinsurance. Clients are located throughout the United States, and their interests are served domestically as well as internationally, including the United Kingdom, Europe and Southeast Asia.

Jim and his wife reside in Connecticut. They have six adult children. He served active duty with the U.S. Army
