Autistic Specialist Sept 03 – Sept 09

The After-School Autism Program works with each client on a multisystemic level to assess current levels of functioning, and to develop appropriate treatment planning as appropriate for each client. I led a group of eight children ages 8-14 with fluent verbal communication; minimal delays in gross and/or fine motor skills; able to consistently engage in interactive play, but show other delays in social skill development; minimal behavior outbursts. My clients were typically Asperger's Syndrome, however recently I have been working with more lower-functioning children. I submit behavioral protocols to my supervisor, and under their guidance, I have learned to design and implement individualized behavioral treatment plans. I have developed a core-curriculum designed to highlight the child's strengths and minimize problem behaviors. I managed

four other therapists, whose responsibility was to implement the behavioral protocols as design, take data and creatively consult.
