J Wall 1 – Men’s Basketball

The newJ Wall 1signaturebasketball shoe equips one of the quickest players in the league for his aggressive play on-court and his fashion-forward styleoff-court. The J Wall 1 launches at adidas.com and Foot Lockeron October 31 in two colorways with additional colorways rolling out throughout the NBA season.

JOHN WALL LOGO

• The all-new John Wall logo is highlighted by the prominent feature of his initials, “JW”

• The logo was designed with the “J” crossing-over to the “W” to represent John’s quick, aggressive playing style and ability to cross-over defenders

• The cross-over is also representative of John’s off-court style and how he transitions from a fearless player on the court to a laid back, fashion forward person off the court

• The “JW” within the logo pays homage to his late father, John Wall Sr., who passed away when he was nine

SIGNATURE DETAILS AND STYLE

• Design details on the J Wall 1 were developed side-by-side with John to ensure every detail was expressive of what’s most important to him

• John Wall Logo is featured prominently on the tongue with “Wall” branding featured on the middle of the tongue

• The John Wall logo inspiration is carried throughout the design details of the shoe, including the pattern on the tongue and toe cap

• Sharp angle patterns represent the unpredictable nature of John’s game and his multi-directional explosiveness on the court

• Outsole features a map of the United States with “Wall” written across the left and right shoes to represent his “coast to coast” quickness on the court

• The map highlights Washington DC with lines connecting to every NBA city on the map, expressive of John’s drive to be great and take down any opponent in his way of achieving NBA success

• Additional details on the map include the Washington Monument, Statue of Liberty, St. Louis Gateway Arch, Golden Gate Bridge and Seattle Space Needle to represent John’s fans in DC and across the country

• Vertical three-stripes on both the lateral and medial side of the shoe embody the spotlight that John has been in throughout his entire career
• Now that John has led his team to the playoffs while making his first NBA All-Star team, he has earned that spotlight and is ready to continue on that path of success

• Stripes begin sculpted within the FITFRAME and extend to the top of the shoe through an overlay on the air-mesh upper

• Full length adiprene+ midsole cushioning for enhanced responsiveness, comfort and superior heel to toe transition

• Full length FITFRAME lateral support plate allows for a more controlled surface for John to plant against for his quick cuts

• Unique air mesh textile upper offers supreme comfort and breathability

• Rip-stop textile overlays reinforce the upper, including a seamless toe cap for enhanced durability

• Midfoot lacing support provides enhanced fit and lockdown to make quick cuts and explosive moves to the basket
