JOB TITLE: EMPLOYMENT ADVISER
Reporting to: / Contract Manager, ESF Families
Purpose of job: / ·  To grow and take ownership of a client caseload, developing each client individually and progressing them through a minimum of 3 Progress Measures into full-time sustainable employment or self-employment.
·  To be part of the team delivering each contract’s KPI’s on time.
·  To achieving agreed contractual targets and progress measures through employability skills support, barrier breaking interventions, personal and social development skills, intervention referrals, mentoring, outreach, employer engagement and job matching.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
·  Manage a caseload of clients with given targets, supporting each individual through the stages of Employability and progressing them into sustainable employment.
·  KPI: Achieve set KPI on a monthly basis (broken down into daily activity). On a monthly basis to achieve performance KPI laid out by the Contract Manager. This will include achieving targets for Progress Measures, 1st Job Starts, 2nd Job Starts, Sustained employment outcomes and daily activity KPI. Additionally Compliance KPI and standards must be achieved.
·  Caseload management: Effectively maintain a caseload of clients ensuring that they attend appropriate workshops and 1:1 appointments in the centre and with delivery partners. Provide support and encouragement to achieve their developmental goals leading to sustainable employment outcomes.
·  Clients’ service: Use the Progress action plan to agree and arrange skill development and training opportunities and to regularly review and record this in the clients’ record.
·  Identify new progress measures based on caseload needs, source effective delivery solution and submit the necessary request through the Contract Manager for clearance.
·  Outreach: Conduct outreach in the local communities to develop the support network to better achieve targeted results. To identify and work from local community centres as necessary to engage clients and deliver the contract.
·  Provide employability training (including ESOL, Basic Skills & IT) to individuals/clients on a 1-1or a small group basis and to ensure that you too are fully trained on processes expected of you in this role.
·  Offer information, advice and guidance with all aspects of preparing for and sustaining employment and signposting where necessary.
·  Other: Develop and maintain a good understanding of the benefits system, agencies related to employment access and the local labour market.
·  Work in close dialogue with Job Centre Plus, Local Authorities and other support agencies to ensure that referrals as a priority are given to Ixion, rather than our competitors.
·  Work in tandem with the Employer Development teams and also the Training and Skills teams within the Group.
·  Maintain effective and accurate administration, recording, producing reports as required and updating MI Systems and adhering to the Data Protection Act and confidentiality procedures at all times. Plus fully adhering to Ixion’s IT & Systems and data policies.
·  Work within various frameworks such as Investors In People, Work Programme operations manual, OFSTED and DWP quality framework and ensure that all services delivered meet the standards required.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
·  Attend training as identified through reviews with your line manager and the Ixion appraisal process, or as identified by the prime contractor.
·  Work flexibly across offices, as and when directed by your line manager.
·  Undertake any other responsibilities and ad hoc duties as required by Ixion.
·  Promote the principles of Equality and Diversity and ensure that the policy is fully applied at all times.
·  Understand and adhere to all personal responsibilities under Health & Safety and Safeguarding procedures, and ensure that the policies are adhered to at all times.
·  Ensure that the Code of Conduct, Data Protection, Harassment & Bullying, Confidentiality, Anti-Fraud, Data Security and all other policies of the Company are fully applied at all times.
·  Strictly adhere to all Ixion processes and procedures.
·  Ensure that you work to the Ixion Group’s vision, values, objectives and priorities and are strongly committed to them.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential
·  Suitable experience of working with unemployed people and / or finding job vacancies for people.
·  Proven track record of placing people into sustainable employment.
·  Experience of providing and managing Information, Advice & Guidance services.
·  Ability to encourage and motivate clients at all levels.
·  Ability to problem solve, adapt and respond to various situations.
·  Strong process and KPI achievement skills, to time and budget.
·  Good communication, presentation, organisational and interpersonal skills.
·  Driving Licence and willingness to travel locally on work related assignments.
Desirable:
·  Knowledge of the local area.
·  Previous experience of working in a Welfare to Work environment.
·  Up to date knowledge of welfare benefits and issues.
·  Good IT knowledge or the willingness to develop and undergo any necessary training.
·  Good understanding of the labour markets and employment issues.
·  Having worked in an Outreach environment.
