BY AIR

TWEED-NEW HAVEN AIRPORT

The closest airport to campus, Tweed-New Haven is a short 10 minute taxi ride to campus. US Airways is the only commuter carrier servicing Tweed-New Haven, with connections through Washington National and Philadelphia.

Taxi service from the airport to hotels and campus costs $10 to $12; contact Metro Taxi, 777-7777.

HARTFORD: BRADLEY AIRPORT

Bradley Airport is located north of Hartford, about 1 hour from New Haven, 1 1/2 hours during rush hour; serviced by all major airline carriers.

From Bradley to New Haven:

•CT Limo, $56 round trip; (800) 472-5466, ; drop off at New Haven’s Long Wharf Terminal, a five-minute cab ride to hotels and campus; contact Metro Taxi 777-7777.

•Rental cars also available from Bradley Airport.

NEW YORK AREA AIRPORTS - KENNEDY, LaGUARDIA & NEWARK

Approximately 2 to 3 hours from campus.

•Red Dot Limousine Service (800) 673-3368, from Kennedy and LaGuardia, $86 round trip; drop off at the OMNI, Holiday Inn or Residence Inn, New Haven.

•Prime Time Shuttle Service (800) 733-8267, from Kennedy $86 round trip and LaGuardia $86 round trip (second person in party $58 round trip); drop off at all New Haven hotels.

•CT Limo (800) 472-5466, from Kennedy and LaGuardia ($76 round trip) and Newark ($86 round trip); drop off at New Haven’s Long Wharf Terminal, a five-minute cab ride to hotels and campus; contact Metro Taxi 777-7777.

BY TRAIN OR BUS

The new Acela Express, available through Amtrak (800) 872-7245, offers expedient service between Boston and DC. Amtrak and Metro North Commuter Railroad (800) 638-7646, also offer frequent regular service to New Haven’s Union Station. Average travel times by regular rail to New Haven are as follows: from Boston 3 hours, from New York 2 hours, from Philadelphia 4 hours. Taxis meet all trains and cost approximately $6 to get to campus. Peter Pan (800) 343-9999, and Greyhound (800) 231-2222, both serve New Haven.

BY CAR

1 1/2 hours from New York City, 2 hours from Providence, 3 hours from Boston.

FROM HARTFORD AND NORTH:

I-91 South to Trumbull Street exit #3.

FROM I-95 NORTH OR SOUTH:

From either direction look for the I-91 Hartford/Springfield exit. On I-91 take Trumbull Street exit #3.

FROM THE WEST:

I-84 to Route 34, continue into New Haven.
