Committee Name: / All Industry Day Committee
Committee Chair: / Chapter Board Member -Matt Andresen
Primary Responsibilities of the Committee: / This committee plans, organizes and carries out the Chapter’s All-Industry Day each year. All Industry Day features seminars and a lunch program to (1) provide education about insurance themes/issues, (2) to promote the CPCU Society and, (3) to recognize new CPCU designees with a conferment ceremony. This event is typically the most important public exposure for the Minnesota Chapter each year, from a visibility, educational and financial standpoint. Advance planning starts 10 months in advance of the selected event date; All Industry Day typically takes place in the fall.
Sub-committees: / The following are subcommittees of the All Industry Day Committee:
Seminars, New Designees, Lunch Program, Speaker Gifts/Donations, Vendors and Break Sponsors, Registration/Name Tags, Newspaper/Publication Advertising, Survey and Event Flyers. Specific duties are assigned to committee members based on individual talents and interests.

Key Chapter Role / Budget & Finance
Primary Contact: / Chapter Treasurer – Craig Ehalt
Primary Responsibilities: / The Chapter Treasurer is responsible for reviewing the monthly financial transactions and updating the Excel spreadsheets for Income and Expense. The annual budget is also the primary responsible of the Treasurer.
Key Chapter Role / Champions Program

Primary Responsibilities: / Serve as liaison between organizations, The Institutes, and CPCU Society, as well as between the local chapter, interest groups, and the professional insurance community at large, including other professional organizations.

Primary Responsibilities of the Committee: / This committee is responsible for scheduling, planning and coordinating chapter meetings for the Chapter members. These are typically breakfast or lunch meetings with a speaker, but can include the annual business meeting, student recognition, ethic awareness, etc.It plans activities throughout the Chapter year and tracks them as part of the Chapter’s Operating Plan initiative.

Key Chapter Role / Chaptergram
Primary Contact: / Ex-Offico Chapter Board Member –Now part of communications
Primary Responsibilities: / The Editor of the Chaptergram establishes the Chaptergram schedule, gathers articles for the Chaptergram and distributes it by email to members. The Chaptergram is published monthly and distributed to all members and substantial CPCU completer candidates, as well as identified CPCU supporters in the community. Members who do not have an email address will receive a hard-copy version of the Chaptergram, if requested.

Primary Responsibilities: / This role serves as the Chapter’s coordinator of board meeting minutes throughout the year.

Committee Chair: / Chapter Vice President – Allen Bosch
Primary Responsibilities of the Committee: / This committee follows the National CPCU Society’s Circle of Excellence Recognition Program outline, a Chapter plan for achieving benchmarks and key initiatives in chapter performance. The Chapter goal is to achieve the “Gold” Circle of Excellence level each year. This committee also annually reviews the Laws, History and Bylaws of the Chapter.

Primary Responsibilities of the Committee: / Connections is the CPCU Society’s corporate outreach program. The purpose of the Connections program is to promote the image and value of the designation to employers so they continue or increase their current level of support. This committee is responsible for developing and fostering positive relations with CPCU employers in the area, for the purpose of encouraging them to support membership in the CPCU Society.

Primary Responsibilities: / This role serves as the Chapter’s coordinator of CPCU Class offerings to candidates working towards completing the CPCU Designation.

Primary Responsibilities of the Committee: / The Executive Committee meets quarterly to discuss the long-range planning and strategic plans of the Chapter.

Committee Chair: / Chapter Board Member - Rick Liddle
Primary Responsibilities of the Committee: / This committee plans, organizes and coordinates a number of community support projects throughout the year. Past projects have included work at the Ronald McDonald house, volunteering at Feed My Starving Children, working the TPT fund-drive, highway clean-up, clothing drives, etc. This committee is a particularly good one for new designees to become involved with because of the social aspect and the opportunity to get to know a lot of other members while at the same time supporting the community and making the community aware of the Chapter and the Society.

Primary Responsibilities: / This role serves as the Chapter’s liaison to the National Society, and responds to inquiries about the operations of the Chapter.

Primary Responsibilities of the Committee: / Membership is the lifeblood of the chapter. To provide New Designees with the information they need to further their CPCU experience by giving them the opportunity to take part in chapter activities. This committee is responsible for developing and maintaining programs to recruit/retain members of the CPCU Society. This committee maintains the chapter roster of members, emphasizes the value of Society membership to chapter members, and recruits non-member CPCUs. The committee publishes other activities to foster and promote membership in the Chapter.

Primary Responsibilities of the Committee: / This committee is responsible for identifying and nominating industry personnel to serve on the Chapter’s CPCU Board of Directors.

Primary Responsibilities of the Committee: / This committee works to enhance the image and visibility of the CPCU Chapter, its members, the CPCU Society, and the CPCU designation. The Speaker Bureau Chair keeps a list of chapter members who are willing to speak at various functions of other groups and is the contact person for parties desiring a speaker at their function.

Primary Responsibilities: / The Webmaster Committee is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the chapter’s Internet and Facebook sites.

Primary Contact: / Chapter Board Member – Jason Berger
Primary Responsibilities: / This role is responsible for addressing the needs of chapter membership, including service delivery,recruitment and retaining members in accordance with chapter policies and bylaws. This committee is responsible for developing and maintaining programs to recruit/retain members of the CPCU Society. This committee maintains the chapter roster of members, emphasizes the value of Society membership to chapter members, and recruits non-member CPCUs. The committee publishes other activities to foster and promote membership in the Chapter. Works in tandem with the New Designee Committee.
