It S OK to Double up and Read an Hour One Night in Order to Avoid Reading on Another Night

·  30 minutes each night (preferably) totaling 2 hours on full 5 day school weeks – 1 ½ hours on 4 day weeks.

·  It’s OK to double up and read an hour one night in order to avoid reading on another night.

·  The 30 minutes a night will be tested through use of the AR test – that is why it MUST be AR

·  1 signature = a ½ hour read, 2=an hour read, 3=an hour ½ read, 4 with no blanks=2 hours read.

·  Usually 8th graders read at least 70 pages in a week out of school. This will be considered in the grading.

·  Top = 60% of the grade, Analysis on bottom = 40%. Points are taken off for lacking a name, not totaling the pages read on the top, and for missing information from the very bottom of this sheet.
