IT’S A CHEESIE WORLD!

On ______, His Royal Highness, exhaulted poobah, ruler of the land from the Orkney Isles to the foothills of Saratoga, Emperor Davey of Daveyland will be holding a life-changing multi-media presentation to discuss the future of his nation. Since his country is a benevolent dictatorship, only one party (the Royal Daveylanders) has been allowed. He has recently become tired of the current party and seeks to have a change. Which one is the best? This is where you and your group come in...

DIRECTIONS:

1.)  In your group, research your party and the other parties so you will be ready to participate in the presentation. The objective is to prove that your particular political party is best for Daveyland. Try to imagine if everyone from Daveyland was from your party! All group members will be expected to be part of the presentation so all members should be equally prepared! (YES, YOU DO HAVE TO WORK AS A GROUP!)

2.)  Create a Project Management RCAIT chart which everyone in the group collaborates on, agrees to, and signs.

WHAT’S TO BE TURNED IN?

3.) Each group is expected to research their group’s party:

a.) Research the assigned political party over-all philosophy and the

party’s stance on Crime, Health, Economy, Education, Social Issues, International Policy, and the

Environment- that’s CHEESIE for short!

b.) As a group, you will need to make a persuasive multi-media presentation (not more than 10 minutes) as to why your particular party is best. Your group should use either an entertaining video infomercial or an animation as part of presenting your party’s stances. In these skits, try to present a hypothetical world of Daveyland as if all of its people were from your party. (e.g.- what if everybody in Daveyland was Libertarian? What kind of society would it be? What types of laws would be in place? What is Daveyland like concerning the CHEESIE issues?) BE CREATIVE BUT BE TRUE TO YOUR PARTY’S IDEOLOGIES!

c.) On the day of the presentation dress like a member of your party would and commence your presentation with the newly created Daveyland National Anthem, show your media presentation, and then be prepared at the end of the presentation because Emperor Davey will have some late breaking news concerning Daveyland. Your group may have to respond to some of these recent developments (e.g.- Dictator Abe from neighboring the tiny yet wily country of Abeville is threatening the world with the development of dangerous wrestling chalk. What will your party’s solution be?)

4.) When the presentation is in progress, everyone will be responsible for taking notes on the different parties. You will be responsible for knowing the information for the upcoming quiz. Note obviously Daveyland is America so use the conditions of America

5.) When all is finished, rumors are abound that Emperor Davey will submit his decision and award the winning party for its hard work so diligence is a must!!
