/ From the President’s Pen
February, March, and April have been very quiet with visits to the UFBA Nationals Combat Challenge in Wellington which gave me the opportunity to watch Tony Dench break his personal time in his event coming second. Well done Tony.
While working in the Wairarapa, I had the opportunity to visit the Greytown Fire Brigade on their training night and I appreciate the time and hospitality they gave me, to show me around, and talk about the redesign of their new Station.
I would also like to thank Mangaweka and Palmerston North Brigades for their kind invitations to attend their award nights and congratulations to all of those who received awards.
Ormondville Fire Brigade (on behalf of the WPFBA ) are looking at running a 10 pin bowling event in Palmerston North on either Sunday 21st or Sunday 28th August. To run this event we will need good numbers with teams of 4 to enter.
To register your interest, email our secretary Tony Dench, at
