4th Meeting of the ISHAM Working group
Fungal respiratory infections in Cystic Fibrosis
Osuna (Seville), Spain, June 5th – 6th, 2017
Dear Colleagues and friends,
On June 5-6th 2017, will be held in Osuna (Seville, Spain) the forth meeting of the ECMM/ISHAM working group on "Fungal respiratory infections in Cystic Fibrosis".
The three previous meetings were held in Angers (France) on June 7-8th 2009, September 1st-2nd 2011 and June 5-6th 2014. At the end of our last meeting, it was decided to organize a forth meeting in 2017 and to change the venue to Spain. Therefore, the meeting will be held in Osuna on June 5-6thjust before the European congress on Cystic Fibrosis organized in Seville (Spain) 7-10th June, organized by the European Cystic Fibrosis Society (ECFS).
The meeting will start on Monday afternoon, and continue on Tuesday, ending with plenarydiscussion to plan future activities. Presentations will cover all topics: Clinical aspects, antifungal susceptibility and treatment, pathogenesis, Identification, diagnosis, epidemiology, ecology, typing, characterization and taxonomy.
As always, we would like to have as many speakers as possible. Our objective isto overview all our activities since our last meeting, but new members inour working group of course will be welcome. A special attention will be paid to presentationsfrom PhD students and joint projects within our members. Presentation of projects searchingfor partners is also encouraged.
Deadline for submission of the abstracts is 21st of April. Abstracts should be submitted in English, text may not be longer than 500 words. Tables, charts and other graphics are permitted. Please send the abstracts to:

We hope to acquire enough sponsoring to be able to organize the workshop at no cost as forour first meetings. We will also arrange a bus from Seville train station (Santa Justa) to Osuna and back. The bus will departure on Monday 5th at 13h and will come back on Wednesday morning to Seville for those of you interested in attending the European congress on Cystic Fibrosis.
