BOOKING

It is our policy to accept the first definite invitation, regardless of the size of church and where distance allows (With the rising cost of fuel, I’m sure this is understandable). However, we do attempt to divide our time between concerts, conferences, and evangelistic meetings.

Sons of The Father are committed to traveling on an expenses plus love offering basis. It allows us to minister in some areas that can't always afford groups who travel on a fee basis. We certainly understand the groups that are traveling on a large fee basis, but do not feel that is our calling at this time. This is sometimes difficult with three families to support but God has always provided.
Because of traveling this way we currently handle all of our booking ourselves. With the rising costs of diesel fuel we are asking $150 for expenses plus a love offering for each concert. If your church cannot handle the $150 then whatever you can do will help but nothing is required, we will still come. I’m sure you can understand the fuel expense with a 100 gallon tank to fill.

We ask that our situation be explained during the love offering so that the people will have an opportunity to see the need and give. We say that only because we've had many times where someone will just stand and say "now we'll be taking a love offering for our group, in case you have anything you'd like to give. Let us pray". This doesn't mean that we're asking for a long drawn-out speech of begging. It’s just that many people after the service say that they were under the impression a fee was paid by the church for us to come and aren’t aware of our needs. This is our sole source of income and we ask only that the people be made aware of that.

Sometimes we are asked by a pastor what a “good” love offering is, so he’ll know how to prepare before the time of a concert. As a good example, in Florida at Recreational Parks, they ask $4-$6 at the door and draw between 100 and 200 people for our concerts. This turns out to be a good average for an offering and would be a good goal for that size group in a church. But as you can imagine for 3 full-time salaries, a bus payment, and an office to run, anything above and beyond that is much appreciated.

The bottom line is that money is not an issue for us to come and we will work with you however we can.
