Tamil:

This Month we teaches Ten Thirukural and also to pronounce Tamil letters very clearly. After that story Reading and also telling the Story by seeing the Pictures. Now the children are reading the books and telling the story. About our nation national bird, national tree, animals etc. Most of the children have the only one problem while reading is Pronunciation We concentrate more in that now children are better in that. They were saying the thirukural very clearly without seeing the books.

ARAVIND:

We arranged an Election campaign on 30th April 06 that we kept the demands “Children Right in the Election campaign” in thiruvallore, Aravind read the demands what they want completely and clearly.

Children are very clever in reading and writing English and tamil very well. Not only in languages but in all Aravindan is studing in Sunflower school – Raj.kuppam.

English:

Most of the children were week in the subjects they were very struggling the read the English letter. So, We teaches from the beginning (Alb abets ) A,B,C,D big small and small (a,b,c,d) after that they were well clever in that they write and tell without seeing. After that small three letter words such as Ant, Pot, Bat, Sun, and Hen etc. Name of the parts in Human body such as eyes, nose, finger, hand, and ears etc.

Maths:

They teaches basic numeric by play method (For eg.) each children has one numeric 1,2, 3, 4…….., and tell them one by one., therefore Number 2., 5., they will come and stand correctly.

Shapes: They teaches shapes circle, square, rectangle, pentagon etc. They teaches addition, Subtraction with stones, Seeds, round marbles etc., The children like maths subject very much.

History:

We teaches about our country, and how many state in our country and also how many District in our state and who is the Chief Minister of our state and prime minister, President for our country and also about Indian constitution, and what is democracy etc. Children observed it very carefully and answer our question cleverly.

We see some of the students have developed after joining in the school. Ramaraj 2. Anjala devi 3. Madhan.and manikandan etc. Specifically one child name Kumar. The problem is he cannot express is want by speaking he will show by action. But now he speaks better and his parents were very happy. Now the children are very much interested to come to school

Mid day meals:

We providing the mid day meals daily. The parents and student was very happy.

This centre is opened on 20th feb- 06. This centre covers the three brick kiln namely DBI, Kalangiyam and Kalki. The brick kiln owner provided room and mid day meals. But it is very old building without electricity and there is not proper ventilation. We talked to the owner about the electricity and repair of the building he accept to do that. Children are very much interested and happy during their session and also our animator doing her job very well

The child BASHA have never enrolled in the school itself he even don’t know the numeric and English and Tamil alphabets but now basha has saying the alpabets numeric and writing. They are very afraid when they came first, they will not speak to the animators and also most of the children were never enrolled in the schools. Our animators done a good job now they were very clever the talk very boldly more over they make many question against the subject to the teachers

More over all the student are well development in their Studies and also reading and writing clearly.

MID DAY MEALS:

The main problem him Mid day meals that provided by the owners is not good and hygienic. It is not complete planed nutrition. Our animators have complained to the owners about meals that the cook not preparing the meals hygienically and properly and now only they white washed the building, and there is no electricity

Note:

We planned to start and new centre in kosavanpalayam covering a brick kiln Saraswathi but due to improper and insufficient place we cannot continue the school. But parents and children are very eager. We continue the school for one and half week.

CONCLUSION:

We are very glad and interest to this work, giving education is one of the great things. We hope our Heart felt thanks to ASHA HONOR – CHENNAI. supporting these projects funding for education.
