Course Objective

Introduceanddiscusspast,presentandfutureeconomicandtechnicalissuesrelatedtoenergyresources, production,conversion,substitution,use,efficiency,andpolicyinapoliticaleconomicscontextwithrespectto marketstructures,supplyanddemand,socialsurplus,costsandbenefits,impactsandchoices. Theattentive studentwilllearnaboutmanyofthemythsconcerningenergyinmodernsocietyandacquiresufficient informationtobeabletoevaluatenewenergyproposals,legislationandeventsinanobjective,realistic, knowledgeableeconomicsframework.
