TLI cycling events are organised in age and ability categories. Such categories are determined by the competitor’s age on the day of the event. In the case of dispute on age or gender grounds, details will be checked on the competitor’s birth certificate. New members usually commence in the category defined by their age but may be reclassified at any time to a group that most suits their current ability.

All competitors Statement: I confirm that I am not subject to suspension by any other Cycling Organisation, or that if so the National Executive of TLI Cycling, on appeal, has adjudged the action to be not applicable to TLI cycling events. I also understand that failure to disclose a suspensioncan result in disqualification from TLI cycling membership. I agree to adhere to all conditions of TLI Cycling membership.

Important notice: Juveniles are not allowed to compete unless a parent/guardian, is present and has signed this disclaimer on behalf of the entrant. Juveniles under the age of 14 years are not allowed to compete on the public highway unless the event is a Time Trial and then only if they have attained the age of 12 years.

Race Regulations

1)An Entry Form along with the appropriate entry fee is to be submitted by the closing date on the entry form for riders to count in the series.

2)Competitors may ride individual events on receipt of the appropriate entry fee; however they will not count in the overall series. This must be on the standard TLI entry form with the appropriate entry fee by the deadline date in operation. Telephone entries are not acceptable.

3)Competitors who enter the series will be required to stand down and marshal one event or supply a marshal for their event in question.

4)The Competitor will NOT RECEIVE ANY POINTS on his marshalling duty, if the Competitor supplies a marshal then he will forego this ruling. (RULE CHANGE FOR 2011)

5)A Leaders Jersey will be presented to the overall Competition leader after Round One. The Leader will be determined on a points basis rather than time.

6)Points will be awarded after each round as follows 1st 100 pts, 2nd 80, 3rd 60, 4th 55, 5th 50, 6th 45, 7th 40, 8th 38, 9th 36, 10th 34, 11th 32, 12th 30 etc down to the final finisher. Best 4 results from the 6 event series to count. Any rider competing ina Road Race Series event is eligible to take awayany awards and series points earned within each round. However only those riders entering the series bythe closing date will qualify for the overall awards.

7)Competitors must sign on for each event at the designated Event Headquarters, which will open 1 hour before the scheduled event start. Signing on will close 30 minutes prior to the start. Any competitor who has failed to sign on by this time will be unable to start.

8)Race numbers will be issued at the start of the series and competitors will retain this number for the series. It is their responsibility to keep it safe. It must be worn on the rear pockets of the Jersey.

9)Should any Competitor wish to retire from the race, they must report to a Commissaire or finishing judge immediately.

10)Drinks or other items are not to be handed up to riders during competition. However, riders may carry a drink bottle if they wish.

11)The Commissaire will impose penalties on any rider who infringes race regulation or is deemed to be riding to the danger of other riders. These may take the form of a points penalty or disqualification. Appeals may be lodged in writing within thirty minutes of the stage results being posted and must be addressed FAO the Chief Commissaire.

12)A Neutral Service Vehicle will be provided where possible and endeavour to service riders. Competitors are required to provide their own wheels which must be labelled prior to handing them to the Neutral Service Team.

13)Running in conjunction with the main event will be a “B” category race however, entries into this event will be at the organiser’s discretion. The Same Rules apply.

14)The series will run in accordance with the Technical Regulations of The TLI and it is the Competitors responsibility to familiarise themselves with these rules…. The Chief Commissaires decision is final!!
