Classroom Rules

Coach Conner

·  Be prepared and on time. If you are late to class or if you are not prepared…you are tardy.

Ø  Irion County Tardy Policy (in the student handbook online)

·  You will not throw objects and you will keep your hands, feet, and other objects to yourself at all times.

·  Inappropriate language will not be tolerated at any time. Punishment is based on 10 push-ups per letter in the word used. Refusal to do pushups=office referral.

·  Show fellow classmates and myself the respect that you expect to get from us.

·  No food or drinks will be allowed unless you are over the age of 25. Handbook.

·  There will not be any hats allowed in my classroom as per campus policy.

·  As per campus policy…NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED. You will turn in cell phones when you enter class and get them back when you leave.

·  Electronic devices are not allowable in class unless they are being used in instruction.

·  You will sit according to a seating chart that I have made unless I tell you otherwise.

·  You cannot leave anything under the desks, on the shelves, on the filing cabinet, etc., without permission. If you do so without permission, I will throw the items in the trash.

*Failure to abide by the rules above will result in regular ICISD classroom punishment procedures.

The classroom rules and policies are set into place to insure a safe and non-threatening environment for your child. As the teacher I will try my best to be fair and consistent when dealing with each student.

Work: (325) 835-6111

Conference Time: 10:30-11:15

Grading Policies:

·  Daily 20%

·  Test 30%

·  Projects 50%

·  Semester Exams make up 25% of your semester average.

Missed Assignments

·  It is the students’ responsibility to come and get any missed work due to an absence. If a student is going to miss class due to a school related activity, they should get their work ahead of time so that it can be turned in the day they return.

·  Students will have the amount of days missed plus one to get any missed work completed for an absence(s). You must be responsible if you want credit for missed assignments.

Example: 3 days missed = 4 days starting the day they return.

·  Students who fail to turn in assignments will be docked 10 points per day that it is late up to a maximum of 5 days. If they fail to turn it in on that final day it becomes a zero. DO YOUR WORK.

·  If you turn in an assignment that is below your grade level in quality I will give it back to you to do again. I expect you to do everything to the best of your ability.

·  Art projects will be graded on following instructions, staying on task, completion of the assignment, and mastery of the techniques to be learned. NOT on your artistic ability.

·  Any student who refuses to do their work will be considered defiant and will be given an office referral.

·  Students caught cheating, copying homework or daily work, or cheating on a test will be given a zero and an office referral. Do your OWN work!

Supplies and Procedures

·  Paper, Pen/Pencil, Computer (DO NOT FORGET IT)

·  Come in every day, get out computer and turned on so you are ready to go to work.
