Prerequisites

Software

Delphi 9.2.1 or Delphi 9.4.1 patched to the latest Rev.

IP and PID (this information should be communicated to Hilton when the SOW is done):

•local I-Server IP address: ______

•Delphi database PID: ______

Manual Steps

1.Install the Direct Book connector from the Hilton Direct Book v1.1 Installation CD by running Setup.exe.

a.Select all Delphi databases.

2.In the DB Server Login Info window, enter the sa password.

3. Run the latest I-Server Autopatch

4. FOR SPE - Using IE, confirm access to the following URL: http://miws.hilton.com:11200/ws.pl or http://10.1.30.68:11200/ws.pl. Once access is confirmed from the I-Server add this URL to the local group policy as a trusted site in IE.

FOR MPE coneecting to Hilton over VPN - Using IE, confirm access to the following URL: http://167.187.254.11:11200/ws.pl. Once access is confirmed from the I-Server add this URL to the local group policy as a trusted site in IE.

5.In the Admin Panel, create the following three Direct Book connections by property using the following URL (NOTE: In connection manager the services can be found under the ‘HIMS’ option):

miws.hilton.com:11200, 10.1.30.68:11200 or 167.187.254.11:11200 (DMPE OVER VPN ONLY)

Note—In the Connection Manager, name the connections using FRU and IS. For example, NI Beach Resort, FRU.

6.  In Adminpanel stop the ‘Setup Values’ export queue.

7.  Run the SQL job ‘niis_setupvalues_is_export_v3’.

8. Check with the NI Project manager or the SE SOW to see who to call or if not other Hilton resource is identified, call Dianna Finely (Hilton MI team) at 972-701-3718 or on email at and let them know you are ready to send the setup values message. As a last resort the MI team can be contacted by emailing .

9. Start the ‘setup values’ export queue when Hilton confirms they are ready to receive it.

10. Stop the ‘FRU’ export queue.

11. Run the SQL job ‘niis_functionroom_extract’

12. When Hilton confirms they are ready for function rooms start the ‘FRU’ export queue.

13. Access the Export Monitor in the Admin Panel to ensure the FRU messages are being sent.

Testing - testing Inbound messages with the Hilton Direct Book Test Utility

Use the Hilton Direct Book Test Utility to generate an invalid booking error. If the connector is communicating with I-Server correctly, it recognizes the invalid booking and gives you the message described in Step 7 below.

1.Download the HDBTestUtility.zip file.

2.Extract the utility files into a folder named HDBTestUtility within the Temp folder on the C: drive, c:\temp\HDBTestUtility (MUST BE THIS DIRECTORY).

3.Open the c:\temp\HDBTestUtility folder and click RequestUtility.exe.

The NIPostUtility window appears.

4.In the URL box, verify replace localhost with the local I-Server IP Address

6.In the message area, change the PropertyID to equal the PID from the Prerequisites section.

7.Click Post.

Verify you receive the following message from the I-Server.
