Iowa City AM Rotary Club Interact Scholarship
It is the purpose of this scholarship to provide recognition of service to Interact and support for post secondary study to Iowa City City High and West High Interactors:
Amount of Award: $1000 for City High and $1000 for West High.
Eligibility for Award
This award will be given to a senior who has demonstrated “Service Above Self” through generous commitment of time and participation in Iowa City High and West High Interact Club. There will be no discrimination in the selection of the recipients in respect to sex, race, religion, creed, or color, or Rotary membership of relatives.
Responsibilities of Recipients: Applicants must submit recommendations and application. After examination of these, scholarship recipients will be notified.
Application for Award
Application forms may be obtained from the City High and West High Interact club or may be accessed through the AM Rotary website: icamrotary.org. Completed forms should be submitted by April 4, 2016. Applications may be submitted electronically or by mail to:

Electronic submissions are encouraged but not required.
Two letters of recommendation from teachers or other adults (not family members and preferably not Iowa City AM Rotary Club members) who have knowledge of your involvement in Interact projects should accompany the application form.
CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION of SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS
1. Participation in Interact Club: The scholarship award is intended to recognize service to the local and international communities through active participation in Interact service projects.
2. Leadership roles in Interact Club: Learning leadership through community service being an objective of Interact, indication of having assumed a leadership role in aspects of service projects will be notable.
3. Participation in non-Interact related activity: Demonstration of “Service Above Self” throughnon-Interact sponsored community service will be taken into account
