EXTRA! EXTRA! Read all about it! The Shellegraph Newspaper is starting a new column called “Bilingual Blabber”. Local students will get a chance to interview classmates and write up a short “getting to know so and so” article to be featured in the column.

Assignment overview: You will act as a local newspaper guest reporter, interview a classmate, and write a short “spotlight” article all in Spanish. You will write questions to ask prior to the interview. During the interview, you will record your partner’s answers as dictated to you. After the exchange, you will transform your partner’s responses into sentences about your partner. You will then organize the statements to form a rough draft which will be peer edited. Finally, you will compose a final draft of an article that describes your partner. The final drafts will be displayed in the classroom.
