3.4.4 The video subgroup thanks the National Bodies of Japan, Singapore and US for commenting on the desirability of defining Multiview Video Coding Profile(s) with frame_mbs_only_flag = 0. Action has been taken by issuing a WD on ISO/IEC 14496-10:200X/Amd.2. Anticipated timelines are PDAM 09/04, FPDAM 09/10, FDAM 10/04, provided that a software implementation would be available by the April 2009 meeting, and appropriate agreements are reached with ITU-T about starting such an amendment for our common standard.
