International company, well known as supplier of high quality Building Chemicals (Paints) and Mortars for Construction Industry. Having already a consistent commercial experience on the Romanian market,currently expanding its products portfolio, consequently willing to enforce its management team, looking for a strong business development leader to fulfill the position of Commercial Director.

  • Being directly involved in developing and implementing the company's commercial strategy and in boosting its brand awareness on the market, you will play an active role in coordinating the 17-people commercial team by setting up their sales targets and supporting them in the offering process and direct negotiation with company's customers, regularly measuring and taking needed actions for target achievement.
  • Permanently monitoring the market's trends and competition's actions, you will be responsible to identify opportunities for sales growth, recommending new strategies and actions to achieve sales goals.
  • Having full responsibility for the commercial side of the business in Romania, your main challenges will consist of initiating, maintaining and developing excellent business relationships with existing and new customers within all sales channels the company presently operates in: retail network, technical sales (B2B) and DIY.
  • In this respect, you will guide, supervise and effectively participate to the sales department's operations per each sales channel: retail network, technical sales (B2B) and DIY.
  • Training, guiding and evaluating the sales personnel will be part of your management role, as well, ensuring support for your team to offer relevant and valuable consultancy for company’s customers in order to increase brand awareness and customer's satisfaction.
  • In effect, you will be expected to guide, supervise and contribute to an efficient problem-solving of daily inherent operational issues.

Requirements

  • With a Technical / Economical University background accompanied by relevant market awareness and successful sales management experience in decorative paints' market (minimum 5 years of experience in Sales and at least 3 years in a Sales Manager role), you meet the first main requirements of this challenging position.
  • Your excellent knowledge of the decorative paints' market, relevant familiarity of the competition, along with relevant connections within DIY chains (already built contacts with General Managers and/or Purchasing Managers of DIY chains) are mandatory for taking this job.
  • Good knowledge of key financial elements and Marketing principles along with good command of English, PC literacy (MS Office) and driving license will be basic instruments for successfully completing your job.
  • Your strong native leadership skills, result-orientation and proven communication effectiveness at all levels along with your team-working spirit and good coaching abilities will be necessary for successfully reaching your targets.
