POSITION: Video Production Part-Time – CI Employment Services #1422

START DATE: ASAP New Position

DUTIES:

Under the direction of the Client Services Director, Columbia Industries is looking for an enthusiastic video production part-time employee to join our nonprofit client services team. The main focus of this position will be creating video resumes, vignettes, success stories and educational videos for the population we serve. The individual will be involved in all aspects of video production including: production set-up, camera work, editing, and content distribution. This is a great opportunity for the right individual as they can help innovate outreach and enhance the role persons with disabilities in the community. This part-time position will help you acquire valuable skills and provide you with working knowledge of various video and marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain a real-world experience to prepare you for a career in marketing. Brainstorms topics and strategies with Client Services staff. Coordinates video shoots schedules with staff. Responsible for video production setup when needed – cameras, lighting, staging. Filming and camera operations with multiple types of cameras. Create/produce/edit video content to social media platforms. Initiate and create new social video concepts. Coordinate with Client Services and Marketing staff on projects for appropriate platforms

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Needs to communicate effectively, utilize interpersonal skills, and have the ability to work as a team

member with staff. It is imperative that good relations and a positive image be portrayed to the business

community. Must be aware of the client’s needs and capabilities, be alert to their aspirations and be

willing to help plan accordingly in strengthening these capabilities. Must be self-motivated, take

initiative and be an effective team member. Must be able to break down a job into teachable work tasks.

Must have the ability to research subjects, jobs, employers, etc. Ability to build professional

relationships with employers and funding sources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in Digital Video Production, Film/TV, Broadcast Journalism, or Communications preferred. Strong desire to learn along with professional drive. Solid understanding of video production and editing techniques. Experience with various cameras and audio equipment for video production – Canon 80D experience a plus. Strong story telling ability through the use of video. Understanding of the use of video in multi-media applications including web, social media and traditional media venues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of the use of video in multi-media applications including web, social media and traditional media venues. Excellent knowledge of MS Office. Working Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud. Recent graduate or student currently enrolled in an accredited degree program with a focus in Digital Video Production, Film/TV, Broadcast Journalism, or Communications preferred. Video production 1 year experience. Submit samples with resume. Must pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and hold a valid Washington State Driver’s License.

WORK SCHEDULE: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. are business hours. This position is 10-20 hours per week. Schedule varies with production needs.

PAY: $11.50 -$14.00 per hour

OTHER: Non Benefited position.
