Portable ventilator
Has completed Oxylog 2000 transfer ventilator competency
Knows what is the correct amount of oxygen that we should be taking on both external/ internal transfers
Has an awareness of what checks should be completed once the ventilator has been attached to the patient
Portable Monitoring
Can check portable monitor is ready for use
Knows how to check that the battery is charged
Can zero transducers and set appropriate alarm limits
Identifies what are the minimum standards for monitoring in a critical care transfer
Knows how often observations should be documented
Portable Suction
Can locate, assemble and use the portable suctioning equipment
Transfer bag
Demonstrates familiarity of the contents of the transfer bag and how often it should be checked
Pumps
Has completed infusion pump competency

Identifies which emergency drugs should be taken on transfer
Explains the principles of safe transport of drugs during transfer

Shows an awareness of importance of planning for and prevention of problems during transfer
Insistence on stabilization before transfer
