Dear Dr Beattie

BMVC99 - INDUSTRY DAY

I shall be Chairing BMVC99, the Tenth British Machine Vision Conference, here at the University of Nottingham from September 13th -16th 1999. At this year's Conference we are once again keen to place emphasis on industrial practice by holding an Industry Day devoted to applications of machine vision. On Industry Day formal conference presentations will be kept to a minimum and will mainly involve papers illustrating the practical use of machine vision. Our keynote speaker that day will be Dr Richard Szeliski of Microsoft. During the rest of the day delegates will be able to view poster presentations and see demonstrations by both industrial exhibitors and researchers demonstrating their academic work.

You are cordially invited to participate in this year's event by exhibiting your machine vision products and services. This is an excellent opportunity for you to influence a wide range of people interested in machine vision including postgraduate students who may shortly be entering the industry. The day is organised with the cooperation of the UK Industrial Vision Association (UKIVA) and timed to coincide with UKIVA’s AGM, which is being held at the same venue.

The cost of Industry Day to industrial exhibitors is £175.00, which covers both exhibiting and attendance. This includes a 6 sq. metre exhibition space and a copy of the Conference Proceedings on CD-ROM. Up-to-date information on BMVC99 can be found on the World-Wide Web at:
