Three, Two, One

Int. A bank in late afternoon.

Teller

Hello, how may I help you?

A dirty man, John, has a disparate look on his face. His hair is bushy and his clothes are dirty. He passes the bank teller a note.

Give me $10,000 or everybody dies!

John

Can you… cash this?

The teller looks at the note and presses the button under her table. She looks at him in the eyes.

Teller

You don’t want to do this, trust me.

John looks at her nametag

John

Well Becky, I suggest you shut the fuck up and give me my mother fucking money.

Becky

Please… just walk away and we can forget all about …

John

Lady, I don’t think you understand the motherfucking situation.

John pulls a gun from his pocket and shoots the teller next to her in the face.

Everybody, get the fuck on the floor.

He points the gun at a little boy hugging his mother.

That means you, you little fucker.

He points the gun at Becky.

Now get me my mother fucking money!

Becky (To the other employees)

Get him his money!

The other employees look at her with a scared blank stair.

John

You heard her, get me my mother fucking money!

John shoots the gun at the employees.

Let’s play a game, whad’ya say.

He points the gun at the little boy. The mother shrieks.

You get me my money in two minutes or else

He grins at the little boy

I’m going to blow this boy’s fucking brains out.

Becky

Get the money

The employees hustle to get and count the money.

Employee

We’ve only got $8,000

John

Well you’ve only got one minute left to get the other two thousand.

Becky

Please, anybody, give him any money you have.

The other people start giving him all of their money. It’s counted

John

Wow, I’m impressed but your still fifty dollars short. You’ve got, lets see, fifteen seconds. Fourteen, Thirteen…

Becky

Anybody please!

John

Ten, nine, eight

An old man stands up in the back of the bank

Old man

I’ve got the money

Becky runs over to him.

John

Five, four

Becky grabs the money and heads back to John.

Three, two

Becky trips over someone’s foot and drops the money.

One!

Becky

No!

John shoots the little boy in the face. He takes the money and runs out of the bank. He gets out into his car and the police arrive. They start shooting at him and he shoots back. He gets his old Ford Bronco started up and drives away. The police start to chase him down. The police shoot his first wheel out. He makes a sharp turn and looses most of them. The two police cars behind him shoot his second wheel out. He makes another sharp turn. The car rolls off a hill and into a large deep lake. The cops approach the car with their guns.

Police

Get out of the car with your hands up or we will shoot.

No reply

We will fire in five, four three, two, fire!

The cops shoot the car until they run out of bullets; still no reply. The cops approach the car slowly. They look inside; there is no sign of John or the money.

Ext. A small houseboat floating by a dock during sunset.

A woman, Lydia, in her early twenties; small a petite, very innocent looking approaches the dock. She’s wearing a pink Sunday dress and is wearing her red hair down. She looks into the sunset as the winds blows across her hair. She enters the boat and starts up the motor. She cruises off into the sunset.

Int. Inside the boat cabin, the windows open letting the beautiful sunset fill the boat with color.

Lydia walks into the cabin and sits down near a table. Looking out the window at the lake and the sunset she fills a glass up with wine. She sips the wine slowly as the last bit of sun shines across the lake. She suddenly hears something drop. She jumps, dropping her glass of wine. She turns on a light. She looks around and goes to a drawer. She grabs a gun and loads it with bullets. She cocks the hammer.

Lydia

Whoever you are, show yourself or… or I’ll shoot.

John appears from under the bed.

John

Don’t shoot, please! I’ve got money.

Lydia

Put your hands up! Who are you?

John

I’m sorry, I’m in a lot of trouble, I need a place to hide out.

Lydia

What? You still didn’t answer my question, I said who are you.

John

Lady just calm down…

John approaches Lydia. Lydia shoot at him, barely missing his head by a few feet.

What the fuck lady, could you please just listen to me.

Lydia(Calm)

After you answer my question, who are you?

John

My name is John McGriffin.

Lydia

Are you the man that they’re saying robbed that bank?

John

Yeah lady, please put your gun down for Christ sake.

Lydia lowers her gun.

Lydia

A lot of people are looking for you. I bet I could get a lot of money if I turned you in.

John

Please, I could give you more, I will give you anything.

Lydia

But again, what would I do with all that money.

John (Desperate)

Please.

Lydia

How ‘bout I make a deal.

John

Anything

Lydia(Laughing)

You mean it.

John

I’ve never been more serious in my life.

Lydia

I’ll let you stay on my boat.

John

Oh thank…

Lydia

…but for a price.

John

I’ve got all kinds of money, you name the price.

Lydia

No, I don’t want your money. I want your time, and your body.

John

Wait… you mean like sex, sure but…

Lydia (Laughing)

No, I don’t want sex. I want something more passionate, something that stimulates my libido more than sex ever could. I want something that is free for me but costs everything for another.

John

Is this some kind of riddle?

Lydia

Now that I think about it, yeah, it is a riddle. What costs me nothing but costs another everything.

John

I don’t know

Lydia

I want to bind you and do whatever I would like to you.

John

What… no I don’t like…

Lydia

Well its not about what you like, it’s about what I want and I want this.

John

No, I can’t

Lydia

Than maybe I should call the cops

John starts to move. Lydia picks up the gun.

Don’t think about it.

John

Alright, but you can’t kill me, or turn me into the police.

Lydia

It wouldn’t be any fun than.

John

And only for a tonight, than you let me go in the morning.

Lydia

Agreed

John

So what do you want first?

Lydia

Take off you pants and put on this.

She holds out a diaper. John takes the diaper and puts it on.

Lydia

You’ll need that for later. Now sit down.

She pulls up the chair. John sits down. Lydia takes his arms and puts it behind his back. She tapes his arms together and then tapes his feet to the legs of the chair.

John

Hey, I’m having second thoughts on…

Lydia takes duck tape and puts it over his mouth.

Lydia

A deal’s a deal John. Now would you rather see yourself, or would you rather be blindfolded.

John

Hmm..

John shakes his head from side to side.

Lydia

Wait, blindfolded?

John shakes his head side to side.

No blind fold?

John shakes his head up and down.

Alright, too bad. Wow, this boat’s a little shaky, whad’ya say we head back to the dock?

Lydia starts the boat up. The boat approaches the side of a dock. Lydia ties the boat up and goes back to where John.

Alright, this is where it gets fun. I called a friend up to help me. You might recognize her.

Lydia goes out of the room and brings in a woman. John screams, the woman is the mother to the boy that John shot that afternoon. John struggles to get loose.

Mother

Remember me?

She pulls out a syringe from her pocket.

This is a little thing I picked up at work, just for you. It will prevent you going into shock so you will be conscious the whole time.

The mother puts the needle into John’s wrist. John screams a muffled cry.

Mother

Hey, let’s play a game? I’ll give you five seconds to bring my little boy back to life or else I’ll cut your limbs off.

John gives a muffled cry, tears start rolling out of his eyes.

Mother

Five

She goes outside the boat.

Four

A saw noise starts up. John starts to scream.

Three

She enters the cabin again with a chainsaw.

Two

He lets out one last whimper.

One

The mother brings the saw down on his legs. She makes a clean cut. John starts shaking his head screaming. She brings the down on his first arm. The arm hangs off the second arm since they are taped together. The mother brings the saw down on the final arm. He rolls off the chair onto the floor. Wet fical matter starts to drip down his leg. He starts to crawl on his stomach. He realizes the boat has been moving.

Mother

Lydia, baby. Come help me with him.

The boat stops. John hears the anchor splash into the lake. The Mother takes a large weight and duck taped it around his body.Lydia walks into the cabin and grabs his abdomen. The mother grabs his shoulders they carry him to the edge of the boat.

Lydia

I told you I would let you go in the morning.

Mother
