Keep track of your own progress. Mathematics is not learned by simply watching, listening, or reading. It is learned
by practice. Do homework immediately after class is the best. Schedule your work throughout the course, setting
enough time EVERY DAY to be able to accomplish the course material in time and to the best of your ability. Expect to
spend at least two hours outside of class for each hour in class. In mathematics you will often discover
that comprehension of one topic depends on understanding a previous one. If you are behind in your work now, you will
have more difficulty later. Whenever you need extra help, ask for it right away.
