Award Reception Procedure

Girl Scout Awards:

  • Each recipient should have their color-coded card in their hand.
  • Award recipients will remain in their pew until the usher requests them to stand.
  • The Scouts will be led up the center aisle by an usher.
  • The Scout will proceed up the steps to receive their award from the Bishop/Archbishop and shake his hand.
  • The Scout will present their card to the Adult standing by the Altar rail.
  • The Scout will then exit the Sanctuary by the rear and will return to their pew by way of the side aisles. There will be volunteers stationed on and around the back of the Altar Area to direct the Scouts
  • Unit leaders are to remain in their pew to await the Scouts return.

All of this will be reviewed by Youth Ministry Office staff to all gathered at 2:45pm.

Group Photo

At the conclusion of the Ceremony we will take a large group photo. We will call all scouts forward to position themselves on the steps of the Sanctuary area. Once the picture is done we will dismiss the children back to their seats and parents can pick them up from there.
