Instructions for Submitting Posters and Report Manuscripts

Research results can be presented as a stand-alone written report, a poster with an associated written report (i.e., both have the same title), or a poster with an associated abstract. There is no limit to the number of posters or reports submitted by one author. Reports submitted in manuscript form received by Monday, November 11, 2002 will be published in the Forum Proceedings, which will be available at the Forum. Reports should be formatted according to the following guidelines.

Poster Format

Posters dimensions should not exceed4' x 4'. Only Velcromay be used to attach poster to poster stands.

Manuscript/Abstract Formats

Manuscripts must be submitted as a Microsoft Word 6.0 (or higher version) document for Windows. All tables and graphics should be in a separate document in Microsoft Excel 6.0 (or higher version) for Windows format with a notation within the main document indicating where they should be inserted. If this is not possible, please contact the Networking and Facilitation Office immediately. Report manuscripts should be four pages or less including all tables, graphics, and references. The text should be formatted using Times New Roman 12-point font, and it should be single-spaced. Manuscript sections should be as follows: Title, Authors (include authors’ institutions and the contact information [phone and e-mail] for the ‘Corresponding Author’), Objectives, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, and References. The title should be in Initial Caps (i.e. Title Case). Each section heading should be capitalized and start at the left margin. Report text will retain capitalization, bold, and italic formats, but text flow will be altered in the formatting of the overall proceedings. Please do not use page breaks, tabs, or the footnote function (use superscripts instead) in the manuscript’s text, and include ‘hard returns’ only at the end of a paragraph or reference. Authors should submit one paper copy of the manuscript in addition to the electronic version. Poster abstracts and written manuscripts must be receivedby Monday, November 11thin order to be included in the Proceedings. The electronic copy of the manuscript or abstract should be sent as an e-mail attachment to the e-mail address at the bottom of this page. Hard copies of manuscripts only should be sent to the NFO.
